I started my musical project "Lauge" back in 1996, heavily inspired by the trance scene's numerous sub-genres such as Goa Trance and Uplifting Trance. I kept on writing trance music under various aliases up until the summer 2003, when I developed a sudden interest in Ambient and Chill-out music. I had a few single releases on various labels before releasing my debut full-length album "Sundays" on american based label Divine Balance in 2008. Almost right after the release of "Sundays" I formed a project with Kalle Christensen (Baba Gnohm) and in 2009 we released our first EP as Lauge & Baba Gnohm (Daybreak EP) on the croatian label Soundmute Recordings. Our second EP "Monolith" also came in 2009 on Chillbasement.
After releasing the two EP's we started working on a full-length album. In 2011 we released another EP "Microwave EP" and the album "Langbortistan" on canadian label Altar Records.
During the summer of 2012 I started a Techno project with the danish techno producer Christian Rütz (Fallen Metropolis/Traffic Report). Over a timespan of two years we released 4 EP's "Nightfall", "Blinded", "Timelapse" and "Decoy".Alongside the various running projects, I started working on my second solo full-length album. At this time I had developed an interest in beat-less ambient/soundscapes and in 2015 I released my first entirely beat-less album. "Pusterum". Since the release of "Pusterum" I started working on music for games, television and commercials. I have plans to expand my project in the future, and in 2018 I will release my third solo album "Dawn" which explores a more psychedelic and trancey take on ambient.
